Software Asset & Licensing Manager – Fully Remote

Up to £42,000

Our client, a leading UK charity, is looking for an experienced Software Asset & Licensing Manager to take ownership of their software estate, licensing strategy and software lifecycle management.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Software Asset Management (SAM), Software Licensing, IT Asset Management or IT Service Management who wants to take real ownership of a large and complex software environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing the full software lifecycle, from licensing and procurement through to renewal and retirement
• Developing and managing the software licensing strategy
• Identifying opportunities to reduce costs through licence optimisation and software rationalisation
• Managing software vendors, contracts and renewals
• Maintaining the organisation's Definitive Software Library
• Ensuring software remains secure, supported and appropriately patched
• Managing end-of-life software and associated risks
• Improving processes and automation around software asset management and compliance
• Working closely with Technology, Security, Procurement and wider business stakeholders

We're looking for:

• Strong experience in Software Asset Management, Software Licensing or IT Service Management
• Experience managing software licences and end-to-end software lifecycles
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Experience identifying cost-saving and optimisation opportunities
• Good understanding of software compliance, vulnerabilities and end-of-life management
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working within an ITIL environment
