About the Role

Join our Health Management and Predictive Analytics team to shape the future of aerospace software. We are looking for a multidisciplinary Software & Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced ground software tools powering critical aerospace systems and flight operations.

This role sits directly at the intersection of software engineering, systems engineering, and data analytics. You won't just write code—you will dive deep into complex aircraft architectures, understand component interactions, and transform complex telemetry data into actionable operational insights.

You will play a key role in developing Health and Usage Management Systems (HUMS) across flagship aerospace platforms including the A400M, C295, EuroDrone, SIRTAP, and Hurjet.

• Predictive Maintenance: Detects early wear patterns before failures occur.

• Data-Driven Insights: Converts complex flight data into decision-support tools for fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Design scalable backend architectures, APIs (REST, gRPC), and ground tools handling complex, large-scale engineering datasets.
• End-to-End Development: Build applications for data acquisition, processing, analysis, and visualization—from low-level telemetry handling to user-facing dashboards.
• Interface & Requirements Definition: Define clear interfaces, boundaries, and system requirements in collaboration with avionics, hardware, and maintenance teams.
• Predictive Analytics: Apply data analytics, machine learning, and data-driven methods to unlock insights from flight and operational data.
• Platform Evolution: Drive technical decision-making, system trade-offs, and long-term platform roadmaps using robust engineering practices (CI/CD, containerization).

Required Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Aerospace, Systems, Software, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of combined experience in software development, systems engineering, or complex system design.
• Software Core: Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, C++, Java, or Go) and modern software design patterns.
• Architecture & APIs: Proven experience in scalable, modular, or distributed systems and API design (REST, gRPC).
• Data Engineering: Hands-on experience processing, managing, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
• DevOps Basics: Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
• Systems Mindset: Ability to evaluate systems holistically rather than focusing solely on isolated software tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace & Critical Systems: Experience in aerospace, avionics, safety-critical domains, or exposure to software standards like DO-178C.
• Aerospace Data Protocols: Knowledge of aircraft communication protocols (e.g., ARINC, AFDX).
• Frontend & UI Capabilities:Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.Track record of building intuitive UI dashboards for technical metrics, time-series data, and operational telemetry.
• Advanced Analytics: Background in predictive modeling, machine learning, or data visualization tools for engineering data.
