At Benji Pays, we're on a mission to empower businesses with seamless payment solutions. We're seeking an Intermediate Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this position, you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining scalable, secure, and compliant web applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable, secure and compliant web applications and supporting services using Node.js, Express, EJS, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, MongoDB. Collaborate with product managers, designers, support teams and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions. Deliver clean, efficient, readable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. Responsibly leverage AI-assisted development tools to augment software development workflows. Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack, including frontend, backend, and database layers. Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems and APIs. Drive the implementation of projects, features and enhancements through deployment and ongoing maintenance. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Development, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience. 3+ years experience developing web applications. Proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies . Strong knowledge of JavaScript / Typescript, HTML/CSS, and responsive development. Experience using MongoDB. Experience building developer-facing front-end integration libraries, or SDKs would be a strong asset. Experience with templating engines or templated web frameworks such as EJS. Experience writing automated tests. Experience using AI-assisted development tools. Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple layers of the application stack. Love for problem solving with an innate sense of curiosity. Eagerness to learn, grow and improve with your team. Passionate about code quality with a thorough understanding of software development concepts that promote readability, maintainability, and testability. Proven ability to work independently Desire to be challenged, take ownership of projects and see them through to delivery. General understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles.
