Our portfolio of solutions includes the iMIS Engagement Management System, TopClass LMS, OpenWater application and review software, and the Clowder mobile app. About our position As a software developer at ASI, you will design, develop, and support web-based software solutions. You will be a dedicated member of a skilled team delivering enterprise applications with established coding standards and technical design. This position requires a creative individual with an established foundation of technical experience to conduct development of Microsoft-based software applications and products. What you’ll be doing Participating as an active team member on projects working with the Product Owner and ScrumMaster in the completion of product development tasks. Collaborating with all scrum teammates on design and development tasks. Contributing to the scrum team by analyzing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining high-quality software solutions as required. Responsible for meeting project milestones and completing user stories in sprints as stated in the definitions of done. Following established standards and guidelines to deliver projects that are of high quality and high value to ASI and its customers. Learning, following, adapting, and applying agile software development techniques, methodologies, and processes. Responsible for contributing, receiving, and acting upon constructive feedback for continuous process, product, and self-improvement. Providing technical knowledge to enhance overall product performance, usability, aesthetics, and consistent pattern compliance. Conducting code reviews and performing component, visual, functional, and automated testing. Working with Technical Support to reproduce and resolve customer issues as required. Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. What we want you to have Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a recognized 4-year university, preferably in Computer Science or Information Science, or equivalent experience Approximately 2-5 years of experience developing integrated suites of full-featured, web-based applications, including user interfaces, database access, and networked components Experience in the creation of n-tier applications using Microsoft tools and technologies: C#, ASP.NET, MS MS .NET, SQL Server, Azure SQL, IIS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, Visual Studio, GitHub CoPilot and other AI coding tools, agentic workflows and automation. Experience with similar web application technology stacks can be considered in place of .NET experience (Java 8+, Spring/Hibernate, TypeScript, NodeJS, Postgres/MySQL) Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based applications in a DevOps environment using Azure platform services including Azure Application Insights, Azure App Service, Azure SQL, or similar. Solid object-oriented software engineering background and expertise, with proven applied experience in the implementation and testing of high-quality software Superior time management and multi-tasking abilities Solid interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills. Excellent ability to collaborate successfully with others in person or remotely. Compensation Compensation for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s skills, experience, training, certifications, education, geographic location, business needs, and internal equity. For candidates located in Alexandria, VA or Austin, TX, the current estimated compensation range for this role is $90,000- $100,000. Compensation may vary for candidates in other locations within the United States.
