Job Summary:

At Helm Operations, we make software that powers the maritime industry-the tugboats, ferries, and workboats that keep global trade and harbors moving. Our SaaS platform, Helm CONNECT, is the fastest-growing software in the commercial maritime industry, used by some of the biggest names in shipping and harbor services worldwide.

Job Description:

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contributing to the design, development, and testing of new software features.
• Collaborating with experienced developers to solve real-world customer challenges.
• Learning full-stack development with modern tools and frameworks.
• Gaining hands-on experience in agile product development.

What We’re Looking For

• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written English.
• Exposure to at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Java, C/C++, C#, Python).
• Interest in front-end (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and/or back-end (C#, databases) development.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-Have (but not required):

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with relational databases.
• Interest in maritime, industrial, or safety-critical software.
