This role focuses on the maintenance and modernization of core applications, bridging the gap between established systems and cloud-based technologies. What you'll be doing

• Maintain and evolve existing Visual Basic 6 applications while ensuring high code quality.

• Optimize legacy systems and integrate them with modern cloud platforms and databases.

• Perform detailed error analysis, debugging, and software migration to new platforms.

• Utilize source control tools like Git or SVN to support DevOps and CI/CD automation.

• Communicate technical requirements and project solutions to stakeholders and team members.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in Visual Basic 6 development and working with relational databases.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in SQL Server, Git/SVN, and familiarity with cloud or containerization tools.

• Fluency in both German and English.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
