Software Developer

My client is a UK kitchen and furniture manufacturer with over 600 staff across the UK and Ireland. They are going through the implementation of a new ERP solution and are looking to hire a Software Developer to work within the internal the software development function. The role will be to support business-critical applications and the Group's ERP project.

The position is based in Manchester with a hybrid working model. An initial 18 month contract is on offer with a possible 6 month extension

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, support and maintain in-house business applications used at the client
• Support ERP integration and migration work as part of the Group ERP programme
• Build and maintain integrations between the ERP, manufacturing/production systems and other line-of-business applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the client’s application and systems estate
• Collaborate with Group IT Shared Services and the Software Development Lead on shared standards, tooling and ways of working
• Document code, systems and processes clearly for the wider team
• Own CI/CD pipeline governance, including standards, approvals and release control
• Use AI-assisted development tooling to improve delivery speed and code quality

Essential Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a similar software development role
• Strong database experience (design, querying, optimisation)
• CI/CD pipeline experience and Git
• Microsoft Stack inc. Azure, DevOps, C#, MSSQL
• JS framework experience (Vue, React etc.)

Desirable

• Building and maintaining APIs
• Experience working with, supporting or integrating ERP systems
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using AI tooling in a development workflow
• Degree-level education in Computer Science or a related field
