Position Summary Designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of professional software development experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting business applications. Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or similar. Experience developing and consuming APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations. Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Experience with relational databases and SQL. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), source control, code reviews, and Agile development practices. Experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues in development, test, and production environments. Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Understanding of security best practices, secure coding standards, and vulnerability remediation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 5-6 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale software applications. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar. Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps principles. Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. Strong understanding of database technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with application performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support. Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams. Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, or driving engineering best practices is a plus. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business priorities. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $79,310.00 - $158,620.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
