About the Role We’re hiring an experienced software engineer with at least five years of experience to help shape and build BloomPath’s platform. This is a hands-on role with broad technical influence. You will own critical parts of the product, make important architectural decisions, and help the engineering team maintain a high standard of technical excellence. You will operate with significant autonomy. We do not emphasize titles or traditional hierarchy; leadership at BloomPath comes from judgment, ownership, execution, and helping others succeed. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with engineering, product, company leadership, and customers. What You’ll Do Design, build, test, and operate production software across our platform Work across TypeScript, Python, APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and AI-powered capabilities Own complex initiatives from technical design through production and ongoing operation Help shape the architecture and technical direction of the company Review designs and code, identify risks, and guide the team toward simple, reliable solutions Improve engineering practices across testing, observability, security, reliability, and delivery Support other engineers through technical guidance, pairing, and constructive feedback Build AI systems that are grounded, observable, evaluable, and reliable in real customer environments Take responsibility for outcomes, not only assigned tasks Our Technology Our stack includes: TypeScript and Node.js Python Google Cloud Platform Docker and Kubernetes PostgreSQL APIs, integrations, and multi-tenant services Gemini and other large language models LangChain, Langfuse, and Phoenix GitHub and modern CI/CD practices You do not need experience with every tool. Strong engineering fundamentals, architectural judgment, and the ability to learn quickly matter more. What We’re Looking For Must-Have Five or more years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience designing and building production software systems Advanced proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or a comparable language Experience owning technically complex work from design through production Strong understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software architecture Experience with containers and cloud-based environments Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and communicate technical decisions clearly A track record of improving code quality, reliability, and engineering practices Ability to guide other engineers without relying on formal authority High ownership, sound judgment, and comfort working with ambiguity Strong written and verbal English communication skills Nice-to-Have Experience with AI evaluation, tracing, retrieval, or observability Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments Experience in an early-stage startup or small, autonomous engineering team What Makes This Role Different You will have meaningful influence over the technical direction of the company You will remain deeply hands-on while helping guide the engineering team You will work directly with the CTO, founders, product leaders, and customers You will solve real operational problems rather than hypothetical AI use cases Your leadership will come from impact and trust, not hierarchy Why BloomPath Most AI products require teams to change how they work.
