We are seeking a Software Engineer with 2–5 years of professional experience in enterprise reporting, software development, and data-driven applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Core Java programming and experience developing, maintaining, or supporting enterprise reporting solutions. The Software Engineer will work under the guidance of senior team members while contributing independently to assigned development, reporting, modernization, testing, and production-support activities. The candidate should be a collaborative team member with strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to communicate effectively. What you will do: Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and support reporting services developed using Core Java. Develop and maintain enterprise reporting applications, data-processing components, and reporting utilities. Work under the guidance of senior engineers, technical leads, and architects to deliver assigned features and technical solutions. Analyze existing reports, source systems, SQL queries, stored procedures, business rules, data transformations, schedules, and dependencies. Assist with migrating legacy reports to approved modern reporting and analytics technologies. Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting. Work with data warehouses and cloud data analytics platforms. Use modern AI tools to improve development efficiency and code quality. Perform source-to-target data analysis and document business rules, data mappings, and report dependencies. Validate modernized reports against legacy report outputs to ensure data accuracy and functional consistency. Develop unit tests and participate in integration testing, regression testing, data reconciliation, and user acceptance testing. Troubleshoot application defects, reporting discrepancies, failed jobs, performance issues, and production incidents. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and technical troubleshooting sessions. Follow established coding standards, reporting guidelines, security requirements, and software development best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation, including application designs, data mappings, test results, deployment instructions, and support procedures. Collaborate with team members and escalate technical risks, blockers, and dependencies to senior engineers in a timely manner. Continuously improve technical skills and develop knowledge of modern reporting, cloud platforms, and data-engineering practices. What you will bring: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software development, enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related area. Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java, including: Object-oriented programming Collections framework Exception handling Generics Multithreading and concurrency File and stream processing JDBC Java 8 or later features Unit testing and debugging Experience working with enterprise reporting solutions and reporting-related data processes. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases or data warehouses. Understanding of database concepts, data structures, joins, aggregations, stored procedures, and query optimization. Experience analyzing report requirements and troubleshooting reporting or data-quality issues. Experience using version-control tools such as Git. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Willingness to learn new reporting technologies, cloud platforms, and data-engineering tools. BRGs are open to all. Base Salary Range $87,400.00 - $123,400.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
