Software Engineer

Location: Canada. Remote. Offices in Denver and Seattle

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Level: 0–3 years

Compensation: $80,000–$110,000 base salary + equity + benefits

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will write production code across our technology stack from your first weeks. You will contribute to clinic-facing features, EHR integrations, AI pipelines, and the systems that support them.

This role is designed for new graduates and early-career engineers with 0–3 years of experience. You will develop quickly through mentorship from senior engineers, meaningful ownership of production features, and direct exposure to customers and real-world clinical workflows.

We make extensive use of agentic coding and AI-assisted development. You will learn to use these tools rigorously and effectively while developing strong engineering judgment.

Our Technology Stack

  • Frontend: Vue.js
  • Backend: C#/.NET, Python, Go
  • Database: PostgreSQL (Aurora)
  • Cloud: AWS
  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes / EKS

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy production features across the frontend and backend.
  • Work in fast development cycles where features can move from development to clinician beta and general availability within weeks.
  • Contribute to integrations with EHR systems and the clinical workflows supported by our platform.
  • Instrument, monitor, and continuously improve the systems you build through telemetry, error tracking, and feature-flagged releases.
  • Write secure, reliable, and maintainable code that meets the requirements of a HIPAA-regulated environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and engineering processes while helping improve development practices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to solve technical and product challenges.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting physicians during US clinic hours.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to gather first-hand feedback and help accelerate integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, or relevant project experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and turn ideas into working solutions.
  • Strong initiative and a willingness to take ownership without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for software development and a strong commitment to testing and quality.
  • Comfortable working primarily on either the frontend or backend, with curiosity and willingness to develop broader full-stack skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to LLMs, agentic development tools, or AI evaluation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud storage APIs, or SQL.
  • Interest in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or regulated environments.
  • Experience building software projects outside of coursework.
