Software Engineer

An established maritime technology business is looking for a technical professional to join the development team. The successful candidate will focus on the creation and maintenance of software components for specialized acoustic systems. The role involves working through the full development lifecycle from initial requirement analysis to final system testing.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing software components for sonar systems

• Designing algorithms and evaluating their applicability for system integration

• Creating technical specifications, design documents, and test descriptions

• Conducting software component tests and performing error analysis on target systems

• Monitoring technological trends and contributing to their implementation within the team

What we're looking for

• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

• Solid experience in object-oriented development using modern C++

• Experience with build tools and continuous integration, such as CMake and CI/CD workflows

• Proficiency in implementing mathematical algorithms into efficient software

• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
