ROLE OVERVIEW (VOLUNTEER)

We are not looking for "ideas people"; we are looking for builders. This is a remote volunteer role for a Software Engineer at Isaacs Consolidated. The Software Engineer will collaborate with the Athera or Inscribe subsidiaries to design, develop, and maintain web-based and SaaS applications that support internal projects and client solutions. You will report directly to the Technical Project Manager (TPM). Your job is to take binary tickets from the delivery board, write clean, scalable code, and push it to production within the defined sprint cycle. You will operate under a strict Zero-Trust digital security model.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Project Tracking: Monitor the progress of launches and ensure all deadlines are met
• Sprint Execution: Develop and deploy features for products exactly to spec. If a Jira/Airtable ticket says it takes 48 hours, it ships in 48 hours.
• Zero-Trust Compliance: Operate securely. You will not receive full repository access on Day 1. Code is written, reviewed, and merged according to strict access controls.
• Technical Escalation: If an API breaks or a database schema is flawed, you do not sit on the problem and wait for the deadline to pass. You immediately escalate the bottleneck to the TPM.
• Anti-Dormancy: You update your ticket status daily. "Going dormant" or ignoring Slack messages from your TPM is classified as an operational compliance breach.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want ambitious, self-starting volunteers who possess:

• The Operator: You are highly proficient in modern web development frameworks (React, Node.js, Python, or equivalent) and cloud deployment.
• System-Compliant: You respect the hierarchy. You do not bypass the TPM to pitch random features to the CEO. You execute the sprint.
• Accountable: You understand that this trial phase is a mechanical audition. You ship bug-free code on time, every time.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development concepts.
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Ability to design, implement, test, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
• Comfort working in a remote, distributed team environment with clear communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to security, performance, and code quality.
