Software Engineer

Job Description Job Title: Software Engineer Overview: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. This role sits between the Associate Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer levels, requiring a solid foundation in software engineering principles along with practical experience delivering production-ready applications. The successful candidate will develop and maintain web applications using React for the front end, .NET C# Web API for the back end, and SQL for database management. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and technical best practices. Roles & responsibility: Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using React, .NET C# Web API, and SQL. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices. Develop and optimize database queries and contribute to database design and performance improvements. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and application issues. Collaborate with Product, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and development processes. Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Develop reusable components and shared functionality to improve development efficiency. Support application performance, scalability, and security initiatives. Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3–5 years of professional software development experience in a commercial environment. Strong proficiency in .NET C#, ASP.NET Core/Web API, React, and SQL. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development concepts. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, source control (Git), the software development lifecycle (SDLC), data structures and algorithms, and relational database design and normalization. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex application issues. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices. Ability to analyze requirements and develop scalable, maintainable solutions. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment. Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment Preferred Skills & Experience Exposure to cloud-based environments and deployment practices. Experience with Python or other programming languages. Experience developing reusable component libraries or shared frameworks. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with Vite or similar front-end build tools.
