The role
As Software Engineer, you will build the software that turns a building full of GPUs into a product customers can use.
You will work hands-on with our platform, provisioning, capacity and monitoring services, taking ownership from architecture and implementation through deployment, operation and continuous improvement. You will not simply execute against predefined specifications; you will help identify the right problems to solve and influence how we build as Airon scales.
You will work closely with our platform, operations and data center teams.

No inference quota and no approval step as we run on our own GPUs. Open-weights models, served on Airon hardware, which also means your code never leaves our infrastructure — no third-party terms. You will be building on the same platform we sell, and you will be the first to notice when it is not good enough.
You will work on complex, real-world engineering challenges with significant room to influence architecture, technical direction and how Airon builds. You will join early enough to make a visible impact, take meaningful ownership and help shape the engineering culture as the company scales.

What you'll do
- Own solutions end-to-end — from architecture and implementation to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to technical decisions and help shape our architecture, engineering principles and ways of working.
- Improve the reliability, performance and scalability of our technology as the business grows.
- Use AI and modern engineering tools to increase development speed, quality and operational efficiency.
- Build and operate the software behind our AI infrastructure: provisioning, capacity, monitoring and customer-facing platform.
- Turn manual infrastructure work into APIs and automation.
- Own your services in production, including what happens when they break.
- Work closely with the operations and data center teams whose daily work your software shapes.
- Use AI tooling to move faster without lowering the bar.
- Have built and operated production software, ideally close to infrastructure, platforms or systems.
- Are strong in at least one relevant language — for example Go, Python, Rust or TypeScript — and pragmatic about the rest.
- Have worked with APIs, cloud or on-premise infrastructure, containers and CI/CD.
- Are effective working remotely: you communicate in writing, keep your work visible and do not need to be chased.
- Are comfortable taking work from problem definition to a reliable, working solution.
- Can make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, security and technical complexity.
- Are comfortable working hands-on in an international, fast-moving environment.
- Have a genuine interest in using AI and modern engineering tools to improve how software and infrastructure are built.
- Experience building infrastructure or platform products used by other engineers.
- Infrastructure as code, Kubernetes and modern observability.
- Confidential computing or other security-sensitive systems.
- Open source contributions we can look at.
- Experience from AI infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, data centers, distributed systems, high-performance computing or another relevant technical environment.
- Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth or rapidly changing company.
- Experience building systems that support enterprise customers or business-critical workloads.
- Curious and technically ambitious, with a genuine interest in understanding how things work.
- Low-ego and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Analytical and pragmatic, with the ability to turn complex problems into working solutions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Collaborative and direct, with the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Motivated by solving difficult problems and building technology that matters.

- Location: Hybrid or remote, within Sweden, with occasional travel to Lidköping and/or Gothenburg.
