Software Engineer

Role Description The Software Engineer will work full time in a remote capacity, designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support Heraa’s distribution, logistics, and sales operations. Day-to-day tasks include implementing back-end services and APIs, improving existing systems for performance and scalability, and integrating software components with internal tools and third-party platforms. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications, and ensuring code quality through testing and documentation. The Software Engineer will also participate in troubleshooting issues, optimizing database interactions, and contributing to continuous improvement of development practices and system reliability.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in modern languages commonly used for back-end systems.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in production code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or server-side deployment environments is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with non-technical teams in a business-focused environment.
