Software Engineer

A mid-sized engineering organisation is looking for an experienced developer to join the team. The role focuses on hardware-oriented development at the intersection of hardware and software, working on high-tech projects involving embedded Linux systems, SoCs, and FPGAs. The successful candidate will utilize modern development methods and tools to drive technical innovation.

What you'll be doing

• Executing hardware bring-up for new platforms including SoCs, FPGAs, and peripherals

• Developing drivers, HALs, and hardware-oriented software components using Rust and C++

• Performing full-stack development on embedded Linux systems from APIs to device UIs

• Analysing and resolving complex hardware and software errors using JTAG and oscilloscopes

• Implementing high-performance interfaces for FPGAs and SoCs including DMA and interrupts

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification

• Extensive experience in embedded software development with a focus on hardware-level programming

• Proficient in Rust and C++ alongside experience with Yocto or Buildroot

• Proven background in debugging, hardware integration, and system bring-up

• Fluency in both German and English
