About the role

Ipsos Innovation Service Line aims to revamp its product testing process, transitioning from its current manual execution process to a more efficient digital platform encompassing the end-to-end process.

Ipsos is looking to hire a full stack software engineer who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of technologies, whether home-grown or vendor packaged, that will satisfy Ipsos’ business goals.

This position requires technical acumen and collaboration skills. We are looking for individuals who are highly logical and creative in their approach to software development, who have experience making technical decisions, and who have the ability to "think outside the box”.

While experience with the specific technologies we use (React front-end and .NET Core back-end).) is important, we are equally interested in general application architecture and design competency.

You will need to adhere to and improve our decoupled, API-first architecture, ensuring clean separation between the UI and backend services.

Our technologists are involved in all aspects of project lifecycle, working closely with the business community, and with members of other technical disciplines (Architecture, PM, BA, QA) from project inception to transition.

We value well rounded individuals who bring a mix of hard technical skills, structured problem-solving methodology, peripheral vision, and interpersonal skills to the table.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role within the team by actively contributing to the growth and evolution of our software:

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable features across the entire stack (React front-end and .NET Core back-end)
• Collaborate closely with architects to co-build solutions, define, and implement best practices
• Improve overall quality (unit tests, code reviews, test coverage, performance, security) in partnership with QA and other developers
• Write optimized queries for PostgreSQL and utilize GCP Pub/Sub for asynchronous event-driven communication with other enterprise building blocks.
• Contribute to delivery processes: CI/CD using via Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) DevOps, configuration management, deployments, and monitoring
• Document essential elements to streamline onboarding and maintenance
• Implement excellent solutions that address business needs
• Translate requirements into technical specifications
• Review and improve legacy code
• Analyze program performance and troubleshoot issues
• Participate in testing and validation processes
• Improve engineering best practices
• Deliver solutions on time and within budget
• Follow architectural standards

• Stay up to date with industry trends

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core (C#), building RESTful, API-first services
• Solid experience with React and modern frontend state management/workflows
• Experience working with PostgreSQL (relational database design, query optimization)
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerized applications via Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Experience with cloud-native structured logging
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take ownership and deliver

• Experience with design and modeling tools
• Experience in hybrid technology environments
• Strong computer science fundamentals
