Software Engineer

Software Engineer / AWS Cloud Architect | Malmö

I’m working with a small technology consultancy looking for a software engineer who enjoys building solutions, solving customer problems, and continuously learning.

Strong engineering experience matters more than your cloud platform. If you’ve mainly worked with Azure or GCP and have some AWS exposure, we’d still like to hear from you. Your programming language matters less than your ability to explain challenging problems you’ve solved and the decisions behind your solutions.

The role

• Approximately 80% hands-on implementation and 20% advisory work.

• Build and deliver cloud solutions for customers, working alongside their teams.

• Take responsibility, contribute ideas, and help improve how things are done.

• Based around the Malmö office, with at least 50% office attendance. Client travel is part of the role, although some customers work remotely.

What we’re looking for

• A strong software development background, with experience deploying solutions to the cloud.

• A solid understanding of infrastructure as code and cloud engineering concepts.

• Curiosity and a commitment to learning—particularly an interest in how AI can improve your work.

• A customer-focused approach, with experience delivering for internal or external customers.

• Clear communication: someone who asks questions, raises concerns, and can constructively challenge a customer’s approach.

Consulting experience is welcome, but isn’t essential. AWS Professional or Specialty certifications are valued, as are Claude certifications, but mindset and engineering ability carry more weight.

Practical details

• Swedish proficiency is essential: meetings, documentation, and the company’s working language are Swedish. Native fluency isn’t required.

• You must be eligible to work in Sweden.

• Start date: as soon as possible.

Interview process

An initial culture interview with engineers, followed by a technical interview with a senior engineer, then a final discussion with senior leadership. The aim is to complete the process within three weeks of the first call.
