The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer - Endpoint Agents to join our Product team and contribute to the development of the software that runs on our users' endpoints.

You will work across browser and operating system platforms, developing software that inspects web activity in real time and enforces security policies. Your work will focus on building solutions that are reliable, efficient and difficult to bypass, while remaining transparent to the end user.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Research and customers to translate requirements into high-quality endpoint solutions.

We are looking for someone who is technically curious and interested in understanding how browsers and operating systems work under the hood, with a strong focus on efficient and well-reasoned solutions.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
• 3+ years of professional software development experience;
• Strong programming proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one other general-purpose language, such as Python, Go, C#, C++, or Rust;
• Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms and concurrency;
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP, TLS and DNS;
• Good understanding of modern browser architecture, including page lifecycle, extension architecture and security models;
• Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, including Agile methodologies, version control, CI/CD, automated testing and documentation;
• Security- and privacy-minded, with knowledge of secure coding principles and guidelines such as OWASP;
• Ability to explain and defend technical decisions clearly;
• Daily use of AI coding agents to accelerate development, debugging and code review;
• Native or near-native proficiency in Italian, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
• Experience developing browser extensions, particularly using WebExtensions API and Manifest V3;
• Experience developing, shipping and maintaining native or cross-platform desktop applications on Windows and/or macOS;
• Experience with C#/.NET, Electron or similar technologies;
• Knowledge of operating system internals and platform security models;
• Experience with enterprise application deployment technologies such as GPO, SCCM or Intune;
• Experience with application code signing and distribution;
• Experience with performance analysis and optimization, including memory usage, CPU utilization and battery consumption;
• Knowledge of web security threats and detection or evasion techniques;
• Experience working on cybersecurity, SaaS or enterprise products.
