Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that enhance our aerospace products and services. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with experienced engineers and gaining hands-on experience in software development. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our aerospace solutions by developing high-quality software that meets customer needs and industry standards. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications for aerospace systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement software solutions Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes Travel: up to 10% YOU MUST HAVE High School Diploma or GED Academic, internship, project or professional experience in software engineering/development Strong understanding of programming languages such as embedded C++, Java, or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including version control systems Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques WE VALUE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development Experience in aerospace software development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Passion for technology and innovation.
