Software Engineer II
ActalentservicesAbout the Role We are seeking a Software Engineer II to develop and support full-stack applications for manufacturing and industrial technology environments. In this role, you will build scalable web applications, develop system integrations, design databases, and deploy solutions in cloud and containerized environments. You'll work closely with clients and project teams to deliver software that integrates with enterprise and operational technology systems. What you will do Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications. Build responsive user interfaces using React and modern web technologies. Develop and optimize relational and non-relational databases. Create integrations with MES, ERP, and other enterprise systems. Develop solutions that process and transmit industrial data using technologies such as MQTT. Build and support applications on the Ignition platform, including Perspective projects and integrations. Deploy and maintain applications using Git, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud environments. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and engineering teams to deliver successful solutions. Required qualifications 3+ years of professional software development experience. Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript. Strong full-stack development experience, including front-end and back-end technologies. Strong MES experience Experience with React or similar modern web frameworks. Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and modern deployment processes. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Preferred qualifications Experience with Ignition, Perspective, or industrial application development. Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or operational technology environments. Familiarity with MQTT, OPC-UA, SCADA, MES, or ERP systems. Experience deploying applications in Azure, AWS, or other cloud environments. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $87.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
