Is this job info correct?

Who we are We are a rapidly growing pan-European digital wealth manager, serving over 167,000 active investors with more than £5.5 billion invested on our platform. We began in Milan in 2011 with the purpose to help more people improve their financial well-being by making personal investing simple and accessible through technology. Fast forward to today, and we are recognised as one of the most innovative fintechs, headquartered in the heart of London. With a team of 220+ people across 4 offices in Italy and the UK, we are proudly backed and funded by major partners including Poste Italiane, Cabot Square Capital, United Ventures, and Allianz. Our vision Our vision is to combine passion, expertise, and technology to provide best-in-class investment solutions and advice that protects and grows client wealth over time. Our Core Values: We’ve built our business on three Principles: Relationships are our first asset: We’re one team, built on trust, honesty, and transparency. We value our relationships above all else. Trust drives success: We give each other the space to grow. We empower our employees to succeed, so they can make a real impact. Our customers dream big, just like us: We see the bigger picture and we make sure our customers see it, too. We’re always focused on the best outcomes for our clients and for each other, no matter what the goal, or how big the dream What this means in practice: At Moneyfarm, our success comes from the impact each of us makes. We move with purpose, urgency, and ambition, focused on delivering outcomes that matter for our clients and our business. Everyone is empowered to take ownership, challenge the status quo, and turn bold ideas into results. As we evolve, we embrace AI as a catalyst for sharper thinking, smarter decisions, and even greater impact. Our diversity makes this possible. Different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences fuel our creativity and drive better decisions — it’s our competitive edge. We value people for who they are and their unique strengths: that's why we offer flexible ways of working to support them in doing their best work. Candidates who belong to 'Categoria protetta' (Italian Law 68/99) are more than welcome! About the role For this role, please upload your CV in English In this role you will be Scala engineer in a cross-functional development team. Likely technical challenges you will be facing in your first year at Moneyfarm will be related to adapting the architecture of our systems with strong customer growth in mind. Over time you will become the go-to person within the team for backend development. You also take initiative to learn/research new technologies and deliver code of great quality, keeping technical debt under control. A successful candidate in this role will be pragmatic, collaborative, value simplicity and effectiveness, and be biased for action. They will consider being wrong an opportunity for learning and will not consider any part of the software development lifecycle to be someone else’s problem. Your job will be to help us build a great product that our customers love, and a great environment to work in. We are looking for people who want to make an impact in whatever they can, contributing their ideas to how we can improve our product, our technology and the way we work. Things we value are: an Agile approach to product development, using short iteration cycles, and frequent releases to customers; and a Product engineering Mindset. Key Responsibilities Build an understanding of the Moneyfarm architecture as a whole, develop in alignment with it and contribute to plans for improvement. Produce code of great quality with the right degree of test coverage. Review code constructively, and work with your colleagues to continuously improve the way we work. Keep abreast of technological developments in the industry and their relevance to the company. Share your knowledge and apply it to improve the Moneyfarm systems and the lives of your colleagues. You have at least 2 years of commercial experience in software engineering, a BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree non essential, but nice to have. Scala commercial experience is highly preferred, but not essential provided you have strong transferable skills, e.g. Java 8+, Kotlin, etc. Typescript experience is a nice to have. Experience working with microservices architectures, event streaming systems and cloud providers is also preferred. Kafka, Kubernetes and AWS knowledge is a plus. A good understanding of agile methodologies (particularly Kanban/Lean), their principles and their ceremonies. Used to working with Git and performing code reviews. Familiar with CI/CD concepts and tools like Gitlab CI. Focussed on testing and extraordinary attention to details. Experience in fintech or wealth management is nice to have. Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken), Italian is a nice to have. Level & Compensation: We apply CCNL Credito and based on candidate's experience and skills, we will assign title of Software Engineer II. The salary ranges for this role as follows: - Software engineer II from €38.000 to € 48.000 gross per year plus bonus
