As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of advanced applications, fo alternative navigation configurators. You will collaborate cross-functionally to define system requirements, develop intelligent algorithms, and deliver robust software solutions that support the efficient and timely completion of technology projects.

You will report directly to our Senior Software Engineering Supervisor and you'll work out of our Brno location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge applications, AI/ML-driven capabilities, and navigation technologies that power innovative solutions in the aerospace industry. You will play a pivotal role in driving the design and implementation of intelligent software systems and navigation platforms, contributing to the future of autonomous, connected, and data-driven aerospace technologies.

  • Design and validation of airborne/surface navigation systems including application support, code development, requirements and architecture modification, formal testing, qualification etc.
  • The software development includes the design, implementation, testing and documentation of the software in some cases in accordance with DO-178B/C guidelines.
  • Additional work includes the development of tools supporting software development processes and validation, support implementation into prototyping and product platforms.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of C / C++, and of Windows/Unix scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
  • Interest in Machine Learning development and AI
  • English language on B2-C2 level

WE VALUE

  • Some experience since graduating from University.
  • Some experience designing or verifying navigation system.
  • Technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B is a plus
  • Capability and willingness to travel
  • Motivated do develop a career in Aerospace industry in a multinational company
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
