Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Mobile Applications) to join our digital solutions team on a

fixed-term contract.

This role focuses on developing a bespoke mobile application for one of our key clients, ensuring a seamless user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering polished, high-performance mobile apps.

Applicants must demonstrate their capabilities through a portfolio or live app links applications without this will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms

• Collaborate with Ranunculus Hill consultants and client stakeholders to define functional and UI/UX requirements

• Integrate APIs, data services, and third-party tools as needed

• Ensure scalability, performance, and security compliance across platforms

• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and version control

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code and thorough documentation

• Support deployment and provide technical input during client handover

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 2–4 years of proven experience developing and deploying mobile applications

• Solid understanding of mobile development frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native, or native iOS/Android development)

• Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud integration, and database management

• Strong grasp of UI/UX best practices and responsive design principles

• Familiarity with app lifecycle management (App Store and Google Play publishing)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

• Portfolio of previous apps or live project links (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on consultancy or client-based development projects

• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies

• Familiarity with backend development or full-stack experience

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and delivery focus
