About Invisix Semiconductor manufacturers can't build what they can't measure. Invisix Measuring Systems is a fast-growing scale-up in the high-tech industry, developing next-generation metrology solutions for the semiconductor sector. We work at the intersection of optics, software, and data. We're a small team, but the depth of knowledge inside Invisix is anything but small. Our culture is professional and fast-paced, with short communication lines and a strong sense of shared purpose. Everyone here is committed, and everyone knows their work directly contributes to something bigger. The Role We're looking for a software engineer to build the high-level control software for our metrology equipment: the main operator interface, recipe and experiment execution control, work routing, and integration with the factory's manufacturing execution system (MES). Working closely with the architect and our functional experts, this role covers the non-embedded part of the software stack. As part of a small, close-knit team, you'll set technical direction for the high-level control software while staying hands-on yourself. This posting covers two, potentially three positions on the team. Where you land, and how much technical ownership you take on from day one, depends on your experience and where your strengths turn out to be strongest. Key Responsibilities Act as technical lead for the equipment control software platform: set direction, make architectural decisions, and coordinate with the architect and engineering team Translate process recipes into equipment-level jobs, including routing logic and status reporting to external systems Implement host-system-driven control of recipe execution, and build the supporting GUI components Design interfaces for moving high volumes of process data from equipment to downstream systems Work with the architect to assess deliverables, validate effort estimates, and plan and track progress Take on adjacent responsibilities as the team grows, such as CI/CD ownership or product-owner-style backlog and stakeholder coordination Is this you? Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 4 to 8 years of professional software development experience Comfortable taking technical ownership and leading by example in a small, hands-on team, with a startup mindset and a willingness to step into adjacent gaps as the team grows Strong Python skills, with experience in for instance: C#, WPF, and PySide, and familiarity with gRPC and REST interfacing Actively applies AI tooling across the development lifecycle (coding, testing, DevOps/CI-CD, performance tuning, GUI development, documentation) to boost efficiency Nice to have, but not required: Hands-on experience with AI-assisted DevOps/CI-CD What We Offer A role at the heart of Invisix's equipment software, with real technical ownership from day one Competitive salary and benefits, including an Employee Share Ownership Plan A learning and development budget to support your growth Flexible working arrangements, and room to grow into adjacent responsibilities as the team scales Interested? If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd like to hear from you, even if you only recognize yourself in part of this description. Submit your resume, and let's find out together if there's a match. If this isn't quite the right position for you but you're still interested in Invisix, reach out to us at [email protected] . Diversity & Inclusion We're committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, where ideas and individuals flourish. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and judge candidates on merit and potential contribution, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or other identity characteristics. What we're looking for is talent with integrity, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to make an impact.
