This role is four days onsite at our Lafayette Court Buffalo, NY location, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week
Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Junior Oracle Cloud Applications Developer with three to five years of application development experience to help design, build, integrate, test, and support secure enterprise applications. This role provides hands-on opportunities to expand expertise in Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), Oracle APEX, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen 3), and related Oracle Cloud technologies while working alongside experienced developers, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Oracle APEX application components, including pages, regions, reports, validations, processes, Shared Components, and workflows, with guidance from senior team members.
- Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, packages, and exception-handling logic that meet established development standards.
- Support Oracle ATP environments, schemas, users, monitoring, backup, recovery, and routine administration activities.
- Develop and maintain OIC Gen 3 integrations and REST APIs using JSON, secure authentication, and standardized error handling.
- Follow secure coding, least-privilege access, data-protection, and audit-control practices.
- Use Git-based source control, participate in code reviews, and support CI/CD, release, deployment, and rollback activities.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and regression tests; troubleshoot defects; and document test results.
- Work with technical and business partners to clarify requirements, estimate assigned work, maintain documentation, and provide timely status updates.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ systems analysis and/ or application development work experience OR Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year systems analysis and/or application development work experience. In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ education and/or relevant work experience, including a minimum of 1 year of systems analysis and/or application development work experience
- Professional proficiency in a minimum of 1 relevant programming language
Education and Experience Preferred:
- 3-5 years of overall application development experience.
- Hands-on experience developing Oracle APEX applications and applying foundational APEX security practices.
- Working experience with Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), including schemas, users, monitoring, and core database-administration concepts.
- Strong foundational SQL and PL/SQL skills, including queries, joins, procedures, functions, packages, and exception handling.
- Exposure to OIC Gen 3, REST APIs, JSON, authentication, or comparable integration technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure concepts, including IAM, networking, compartments, monitoring, and logging.
- Experience using Git and participating in code reviews, testing, releases, or CI/CD workflows.
- Programming experience with PL/SQL and familiarity with Java or JavaScript and object-oriented development concepts.
- Ability to understand technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, document solutions, and communicate progress clearly.
- Experience with Oracle APEX Universal Theme, interactive reports or grids, REST Data Sources, accessibility, workflow, or performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Oracle ATP autoscaling, performance monitoring, Data Safe, or database migration concepts.
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, ORDS, OAuth 2.0, API gateways, or enterprise integration platforms.
- Familiarity with OCI Terraform, Vault, Functions, security remediation, data masking, compliance, or cost optimization.
- Experience with automated API or UI testing, performance testing, test-data management, Jira, or Zephyr.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment and contributing to process mapping, demonstrations, or technical presentations.
