## About the Role

RUAG is seeking a **Senior Network Software Development Engineer** to contribute to the innovative **Ersa IMFS** project, focused on secure voice and data communication. You will develop efficient software solutions for LAN, WLAN, and WAN network communication, with a strong focus on network performance and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop smart and efficient software solutions for **LAN, WLAN, and WAN** communication.

* Create concepts and contribute to software architecture specifications.

* Focus on **network performance** and **Software-Defined Networking (SDN)**.

* Design and implement software using agile development methods.

* Develop software in **C++**, from analysis through implementation.

* Analyze and resolve software problems.

* Ensure software product quality in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

* Contribute to the development of secure voice and data communication technologies.

## Required Qualifications

* Higher education in **Computer Science, Electrical Engineering**, or an equivalent qualification.

* Professional experience in **object-oriented software development** using C, C++, and Python.

* Experience developing software for **network technology**.

* Strong **Linux** expertise.

* Deep knowledge of network engineering, including:

* IP across protocol layers

* Routing

* Linux Netlink layer

* Proficiency in **German or English**.

* Willingness to further develop German language skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in **embedded security**.

* Knowledge of **TPM, Secure Boot, and System Management**.

* Experience with Software-Defined Networking and network performance optimization.
