Product Manager | Global On- Prem & Cloud Software | East Midlands | £75k | Hybrid
• Have you taken a software product into international markets?
• Do you lead people as well as products?
• Are you happy to travel for work, including overseas?
This role is about driving growth, not simply maintaining what's already there. You'll own an established software product, help take it into new territories, and lead the team responsible for building it.
You'll set the development roadmap, run the product team day-to-day, and have a real say in the product's long-term direction. You won't be handed a plan to follow; you'll be the one writing it.
What the role involves:
• Representing the product on the international stage and developing strong relationships with customers and software partners
• Keeping a close eye on market trends and customer feedback to inform the strategic roadmap
• Producing detailed specifications within an agile development process and leading the team that delivers them
• Supporting account management and customer training reviews where needed
What you'll bring:
• Hands-on experience with both on-premise and cloud software products
• Product management experience across global markets
• A strategic mindset, with the patience to see things through and the drive to make them happen
• Excellent communication skills, whether you're presenting to senior leaders or talking through technical detail with developers
• The confidence to travel and work on your own initiative, both in the UK and abroad
The client: A well-established Derby-based business with an engineering heritage and a software product trusted by organisations around the world. They've built a strong reputation in their niche, and they're now investing heavily in the next stage of growth, including developing new cloud-based products.
It's a settled, well-managed business where people genuinely enjoy working and tend to stay for years. Alongside that stability there's a clear appetite for growth, and they want someone who can help lead it.
Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office. Salary up to £75k for the right person. Easy to reach by public transport, with on-site parking available.
Candidates must have full UK working rights, as sponsorship is not available.
