The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer I is responsible for manual and automated testing of the Edovate application platform. Success in this role means ensuring all software features meet the planned requirements as defined by a user story’s acceptance criteria, and that software defects are detected and resolved as early in the software development life cycle as possible. Key Responsibilities Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all Edovate software applications Executing manual and automated test plans Maintain tasks to ensure they are up to date in our project tracking system Assist in triaging reported software defects Maintain process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to illustrate the scope, requirements, and function of the feature or fix being tested Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Proven ability to develop, document, and execute test cases, scripts, and plans Proficiency with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) Skills & Competencies This role is a strong fit for someone who: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Why Join Us This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a role where your contributions directly influence the quality of our software and is impact on the lives of our customers in their educational journey.
