Software Test Engineer We're seeking a Software Test Engineer to contribute to quality for our team. You'll help ensure the reliability of our client application suite (ndOffice, ndMail, ndSync, ndClick, ndMirror) that legal professionals depend on for daily document access and management. This is a hands-on automation role where you'll build and maintain test cases and contribute to test coverage for client applications. You will: Quality & Automation Build and maintain automated test cases using C# and testing frameworks Create integration tests using Postman for API testing Execute testing based on test plans and requirements Implement unit and integration tests for application features Maintain CI/CD test suites and troubleshoot test failures Testing & Validation Execute test cases and report defects clearly Test installation and deployment scenarios Validate application functionality across different configurations Perform exploratory testing when needed Collaboration Work with engineers to understand features and testing needs Participate in test planning and strategy discussions Share findings and contribute to quality improvements Learn and adopt team testing best practices Continuous Learning Develop skills in testing technologies and automation Learn application architecture and testing strategies What Success Looks Like Within 90 Days: Understand the application suite, contribute to test automation, and establish yourself as a reliable team member Ongoing: Consistently deliver quality test coverage, identify issues before production, and grow your testing and automation skills This role might not be a good fit if: You prefer manual testing exclusively over building automation You're uncomfortable learning client application technologies You're uncomfortable in a regulated industry with strict compliance requirements What You'll Need to be Successful 3-7 years in software quality/test engineering Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of software testing principles Experience with test automation in C# or similar languages Familiarity with testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or similar) API testing tools (Postman or similar) Understanding of CI/CD concepts Experience testing software applications What Will Make You Stand Out Experience testing client applications or Office integrations Background in testing email clients or synchronization systems Experience with installation/deployment testing Multi-environment testing experience Legal industry or document management experience Experience working in distributed teams Equal Opportunity NetDocuments is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
