About the Opportunity
Hatchit Studios is seeking an experienced Solution Architect for a contract opportunity supporting a major Federal Government digital transformation program.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and technical architecture expertise to support the modernisation of enterprise applications and core corporate systems, with a particular focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.
Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams and delivery partners, you will help shape scalable, secure and fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document enterprise application and solution architectures, particularly across ERP and cloud-based environments.
- Develop and maintain application strategies, architecture artefacts, technology roadmaps and governance standards.
- Review existing on-premises and cloud applications to assess sustainability, risks and alignment with architecture principles.
- Provide technical guidance on solution design, integration, application modernisation and technology selection.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners to translate business requirements into practical architecture solutions.
- Support solution scoping, estimation, planning and implementation activities.
- Identify architecture risks, technical dependencies and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable recommendations.
- Ensure solutions comply with relevant security, governance and technology standards.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design assurance and technical governance processes.
- Contribute to Agile delivery teams supporting enterprise-wide ICT transformation initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years' demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect or Application Architect.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise applications and cloud-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, application integration patterns and enterprise architecture governance.
- Experience developing solution designs, architecture documentation, technology roadmaps and technical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working collaboratively across business, technology and delivery teams.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience architecting or delivering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.
- Experience with ServiceNow architecture, integrations or enterprise platform implementations.
- Previous experience delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs within the Australian Federal Government.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth Government ICT frameworks, security requirements and architecture governance.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry-recognised architecture certifications.
