Daily Rate: $1000 - $1100 + Super
Contract Length: Initial contract until 30/04/27 (high chance of extension)
Location: Macquarie Park/WFH (3 days on site mandatory)
We have an opportunity for an experienced EMR Solution Architect to join a major digital health transformation program, providing end-to-end architecture leadership across the implementation of a new Electronic Medical Record environment.
Working closely with the Program Director, architecture leadership and the selected EMR vendor, you will own the solution architecture across the program and act as a key technical design authority.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the target-state EMR solution architecture, ensuring the EMR integrates effectively across the broader clinical and technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end Solution Architecture leadership across the EMR Program.
- Develop and maintain the target-state EMR solution architecture.
- Act as a technical design authority, providing clear direction across program workstreams.
- Partner closely with the selected EMR vendor throughout design and implementation.
- Define the integration architecture and approach across clinical and enterprise systems.
- Identify and manage architectural dependencies, risks and key technical decisions.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, artefacts and decision records.
- Provide clear technical advice and recommendations to the Program Director and governance forums.
About You
- Significant EMR/eMR/EHR Solution Architecture experience, ideally across major hospital or health transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of clinical systems and hospital technology environments, with experience across platforms such as Cerner/Oracle Health, Epic or InterSystems TrakCare highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience defining end-to-end and target-state solution architectures for complex transformation programs.
- Strong integration and interoperability architecture experience, including HL7, FHIR, APIs and integration between EMR and surrounding clinical/enterprise systems.
- Experience operating as a technical design authority, establishing architecture principles, standards, artefacts and architectural decision records.
- Ability to identify and manage architectural dependencies, risks and integration impacts across multiple program workstreams.
- Strong experience working directly with technology vendors through solution design and implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly to senior leaders, program teams, vendors and governance forums.
