Solution / Technical Architect (Java)

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Solution / Technical Architect with a strong Java development background and solid experience designing modern, scalable distributed systems.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural thinking and close collaboration with development teams and stakeholders.

Technical requirements

Must-have:

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong proficiency with Java 11+
• Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot 3, Spring Security and Spring Framework
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid experience designing REST APIs
• Good understanding of event-driven architectures and patterns
• Strong clean-code and software engineering practices
• Strong PostgreSQL experience
• Proficiency with Git and modern version-control workflows
• Experience with unit and integration testing, including tools such as JUnit and Testcontainers
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability solutions such as DataDog or Kibana
• Comfortable working in Linux or macOS environments

Nice to have

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• Pub/Sub or Kafka
• Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud platform
• GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
• Scala
• JVM performance tuning and optimization
• Transportation or logistics domain experience
