Is this job info correct?

Solutions Architect The Company Akuity was founded by the co-creators of Argo, Hong Wang, Jesse Suen, and Alexander Matyushentsev. The three were founding engineers at Applatix, which launched the Argo project in 2017. After Applatix's acquisition by Intuit in 2018, Argo rapidly expanded with projects like Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, and Argo Events, and became an incubating project within the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). Today, Argo has over 22,000 GitHub stars and is one of the fastest-growing CNCF projects, trusted by hundreds of enterprises, including Adobe, Tesla, PayPal, Capital One, and Peloton to automate application delivery on Kubernetes. Following Argo's widespread adoption, we founded Akuity to help organizations reliably deploy Argo at scale through enterprise support and enhanced capabilities. Backed by $25 million in funding from Lead Edge Capital and Decibel Partners, we are experiencing rapid growth while staying true to our open-source roots. We actively contribute to Argo, support the community, and promote its adoption at every opportunity. The Opportunity As a Solutions Architect at Akuity, you will sit at the intersection of pre-sales, customer success, technical support, and open-source engineering. This is a uniquely multifaceted role and you will be the primary technical face of Akuity for prospective and existing customers, help them succeed with the Akuity Platform and the broader Argo ecosystem, and contribute directly to the open-source projects at the heart of what we do. You will bring deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, GitOps, and the Argo project and you won't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and write code. You'll be expected to go beyond explaining our platform and actively contribute to Argo CD and related projects, shape our technical direction, and create lasting value for our customers and the broader community. You Will Drive the technical discovery process, uncovering customer pain points, requirements, and key business objectives to align Akuity's solutions to their needs. Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, architecture walkthroughs, and live demos that showcase Akuity's platform and GitOps best practices. Deliver outstanding technical support to open-source users and enterprise customers across multiple channels including chat, GitHub, forums, and calls. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex customer issues involving Kubernetes, Argo CD, and the Akuity Platform, escalating to the product engineering team when appropriate. Recognize patterns in customer issues and proactively contribute to our support playbook, documentation, and internal knowledge base. Develop tooling, integrations, and automation that improve the customer experience and extend the capabilities of the Akuity Platform. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Sales to relay customer feedback and influence the product roadmap. Represent Akuity at conferences, webinars, and community events — sharing your expertise and growing Argo's adoption. About You Must Have 3+ years of experience working at the intersection of development and operations - a true practitioner of DevOps/platform engineering. Deep, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting production-grade clusters across cloud providers (AWS/EKS, GCP/GKE, Azure/AKS) and/or on-prem. Meaningful professional experience with Argo CD, with knowledge of typical Argo CD patterns such as ApplicationSets, multi-cluster management, and advanced configuration. Software engineering skills: comfortable writing using e.g Go, Rust, Java, Python, or TypeScript; able to contribute solid PRs to open-source projects in the cloud-native ecosystem and build or extend integrations or tooling. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps principles and patterns. Strong communicator who can convey complex technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders with clarity and confidence. Customer-first mindset with demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships at the enterprise level. A proactive, systems-thinking approach — you look for root causes, anticipate issues, and design scalable solutions. Experience in a fast-paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple competing priorities. Excellent people skills — collaborative, humble, adaptable, and with a sense of humor. Nice to Have Experience as an open-source maintainer or significant contributor, particularly in the Argo or broader CNCF ecosystem. Experience with Argo Workflows, Argo Rollouts, or Argo Events. Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, or OCI-based GitOps workflows. Knowledge of identity management, clustering, SSO, and enterprise security patterns (RBAC, audit logging, etc.). Prior experience as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Software Engineer, Platform Engineer or Technical Support Engineer at a cloud-native or developer tools company. Public-facing technical content such as conference talks, blog posts, webinars that demonstrate thought leadership. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Why Akuity At Akuity, we believe open-source software is the most impactful way to build lasting technology. We founded this company to advocate for Argo, share our expertise, and be a trusted partner to its users. This role puts you at the very heart of that mission — working directly with the Argo maintainers who built it, contributing to the project itself, and helping the world's most innovative companies adopt GitOps at scale. Our culture is grounded in humility, authenticity, and diversity. We want to work with people from different backgrounds and different paths in life. We trust our team members to take ownership, act responsibly, and support one another. If you are collaborative, curious, and excited about building the future of cloud-native application delivery, we'd love to meet you. Akuity is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, transgender status, sexual stereotypes, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.
