The Solution Architect position is a leadership role responsible for managing multiple sales opportunities and account teams/programs. The Solution Architect provides sales and solution assurance of services for clients through a range of internal and external functions in the following areas: Solution, Account Interaction, Service Design Development, and Practice pipeline responsibilities.
The Solution Architect I is expected to have the experience and background to perform all the duties described below for engagements that are focused on solution management within the defined subject matter area, resource identification and allocation, contract attributes and costing, customer interaction, and other key aspects of solution-based managed services. These engagements typically support a North American customer or are delivered at the customer location, usually in North America. They are expected to have the skills needed for complex, deliverable-based, fully outsourced, or extremely large-scale engagements or programs, and to contribute input to a larger cross-functional solution.
Key Accountabilities and Priorities:
- Gain a clear understanding of customers business requirements and their technical requirements.
- Understand, develop, and mature the solution design by collaborating with customers and stakeholders to manage their expectations and resolve sales, stakeholder, and delivery issues in a timely manner.
- Facilitate internal communication and assemble a delivery team for new engagements, including practice support, delivery (regional and/or practice), and account team members.
- Consolidate solution status and proposed costing information across the project stakeholders.
- Ensure sales/solution escalation procedures are addressed and communicated to client, consultants, and managers.
- Implement knowledge management strategy and communicate processes and procedures for knowledge transfer from sales/solutions to delivery.
- Manage sales/solutions risk and opportunity issues and facilitate resolution, with proper notification to all affected parties.
- Identify and coordinate the solution change control process. Practice & Product Line Management
- Perform periodic practice pipeline and opportunity analysis, product line review, and solution health checks with practice and delivery resources.
- Examine customer reference-ability and establish ongoing relationships with the customer and account team members.
- Refine practice pipeline and product line attributes based upon metrics and analysis as well as overall fit within the marketplace and technological changes.
- Support the development and execution of an Account Strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Management Responsibilities:
- Understand and manage customer requirements (solution and environmental factors) to ensure contract understanding and acceptance for deliverables, cost, contract type, timeline, risk, and assumptions, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the team understands the solution methodology from opportunity assessment to project closeout, and from sales to delivery knowledge transfer.
- Financial and contractual responsibility for engagement profitability.
- Maintain awareness of additional business opportunities and support pursuit of future business through quality results and escalation to internal stakeholders when additional business opportunities may present themselves.
- Ensure Sales and Solutions management methodology is followed on all client opportunities.
- Mentor, manage, and develop product/project team members; team size varies from 3 to 8-10 team members.
- Conduct annual reviews and provide feedback throughout the year on employee performance where required.
- Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are communicated and executed in line with internal and consultant HR policies.
Key Accountability and Priorities:
- Subject matter expert developing organizational capability for audit, compliance, and risk governance
- Experience in IT and business adherence to existing compliance programs
- Experience in executing an audit management control framework inclusive of data governance and compliance process
- Provide support and integration between the IT organization and audit
- Negotiate the specificity of the audit issues with Internal Audit, which influence a final audit report rating
- Experience writing and developing Management Action Plans.
- Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, CRISC, and any notable accreditation in AI Governance
- Experience in CMMC, CISA, DISA, IL5, IL6, STIG, NIST, COBIT, ISO and FEDRAMP environments
- Project planning for all compliance issues, including external, internal, and regulatory audits
- Understand Security Control Frameworks (NIST / ISO / COBIT and compliance programming, including Security Operations. This is building from the ground up and must have that experience & POA&M.
- Security and compliance regarding Cloud providers (general, no specific vendor)
- Experience working in areas of secure systems design and analysis in support of both Network and Secure Operations
- Experience in security procedures, processes, and tools; intermediary for internal auditors, IT Risk and Business and Disaster Recovery teams, Applications Development Team, and the Database Administrator Teams.
- Serve as an intermediary for internal auditors, IT Risk and Business and Disaster Recovery teams, the Applications Development Team, and the Database Administrator Teams.
- Experience in DoD RMF/FedRAMP plans identified in NIST 800-171 / NIST SP 800-53, and the development, testing, and implementation of these plans and how they comply with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and FedRAMP certification goals.
- Ability to document Standard Operating Procedures and procedures clearly and concisely.
- Experience in secure systems design and analysis supporting both Network and Secure Operations.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent, relevant experience
- 15+ years experience in information technology and/or professional services, with emphasis on subject matter expertise.
- Experience delivering projects/programs and administering client professional services agreements, including the change management process.
- Frequent interactions with external customers at the Director level or above; normal level of interactions is the CXO level; established consulting and interpersonal skills with 15+ years experience
- 15+ years in IT service management/project management, delivering projects/programs and providing daily delivery/consulting oversight within a professional services environment or equivalent, with relevant experience managing resources in an appropriate environment.
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills, and Business Acumen:
Strong conceptual and analytical skills, which demonstrate out-of-the-box problem solving
Proven ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-teams to deliver successful solutions
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language).
Superior people and personnel management skills.

- Ability to articulate an understanding of various Information Technology platforms
- Partner with Cybersecurity Operations and Architecture teams to create and sustain compliance measures
- Quality & timely deliverables, including methodologies to stakeholders, ensuring progress, outcomes, and expectations

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
