About the Role As a Solutions Consultant, you will be the technical and operational expert supporting our sales team and customers . Although this is not a sales position, you will work directly with the sales team to understand the customer’s warehouse operations, analyze their data and challenges, and develop customized automation solutions. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, software teams, and technology vendors to develop solutions involving AMRs/AGVs, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, goods-to-person systems, and WMS/WES integrations . You will also help build business cases, prepare proposals, and present solutions to customers. Key Responsibilities Visit customer sites to assess warehouse operations, material flows, processes, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities. Collect and analyze operational data, including SKUs, order patterns, labour requirements, throughput, and picking activity, to identify customer needs and opportunities. Design customized warehouse automation concepts incorporating technologies such as AMRs/AGVs, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, and goods-to-person systems. Develop process flows, layouts, system specifications, and technical concepts using tools such as AutoCAD and simulation/modeling software. Develop ROI, TCO, and payback analyses and compare potential solutions to determine the best technical and business fit. Support the sales team with customer presentations, solution walkthroughs, RFP/RFQ responses, technical proposals, and cost estimates. Collaborate with engineering, software, implementation teams, and external technology vendors to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and properly integrated. Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, installation, testing, and go-live. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, automation, or a related technical discipline, combined with 10+ years of relevant experience in automation, engineering, solution design, or technical sales support. Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution centre automation , including technologies such as AMRs/AGVs, AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, and material-handling systems. Strong data analysis capabilities, with experience using Excel and/or other analytics tools ; experience with Power BI, AI, and system design/modeling tools is an asset. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Highly organized, analytical, and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across teams, learn new technologies, and travel approximately 20% across North America. Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
