We are seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect with deep expertise in Amadeus Nevio, airline retailing and customer servicing platforms. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across strategic airline transformation initiatives, shaping and governing solutions that enable modern offer, order, servicing and fulfilment capabilities. This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams to design scalable, resilient and secure solutions that align with business objectives and architectural standards. The architect will be expected to lead complex supplier engagements and provide technical leadership across multiple product teams.

Please note: this role operates on a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in our customer's West London office.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for initiatives involving Amadeus Nevio and related airline retailing capabilities
  • Define target architectures supporting Offer, Order, Delivery and Servicing domains
  • Provide architectural leadership for the transition from legacy PSS and customer servicing solutions to modern retailing platforms
  • Design integration patterns between Nevio, Amadeus platforms, customer channels, loyalty systems, payment services and operational systems
  • Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience, performance, availability and security
  • Drive architectural governance and assure supplier-delivered designs
  • Produce and maintain architecture artefacts including:
    • Solution architectures
    • Integration designs
    • Architecture decision records
    • Roadmaps
    • Technology standards
  • Support business case development and technical investment decisions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout delivery to ensure architectural alignment
  • Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt
  • Contribute to architecture standards and reusable patterns across the organisation

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering solution architecture on Amadeus Nevio programmes. Nevio delivery experience is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of modern airline retailing principles including:
    • Offer Management
    • Order Management
    • Order Servicing
    • Airline Distribution
    • Digital Commerce
  • Experience working with Amadeus platforms such as:
    • Nevio
    • Altéa
    • Digital APIs
    • Loyalty integrations
    • Payment integrations
  • Strong understanding of IATA industry standards including:
    • NDC
    • ONE Order
    • Modern Airline Retailing
  • Experience designing large-scale integration architectures using APIs, events and cloud-native patterns
  • Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple suppliers and delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with both business and technical audiences
  • Experience operating within highly regulated, business-critical environments
Technical Skills:
  • AWS architecture and cloud-native services
  • API-led architecture and integration patterns
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Microservices and domain-driven design
  • Security-by-design principles
  • Resilience and disaster recovery design
  • Data architecture and integration
  • Architecture governance and assurance

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of large-scale airline transformation programmes
  • Experience migrating from legacy reservation or servicing platforms
  • Knowledge of airport, operations, revenue management or loyalty domains
  • AWS Associate or Professional certification
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture qualification
