Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):
The Sourcing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organization's procurement and supply chain objectives by identifying, evaluating, and managing supplier opportunities that drive cost savings, quality improvements, and operational efficiency. This position leverages market research, data analysis, and strategic sourcing methodologies to assess supplier capabilities, monitor performance, and develop actionable insights that support business goals. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Sourcing Analyst supports supplier negotiations, procurement activities, purchase order management, reporting, and analytics while ensuring supplier compliance and service excellence. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and service offerings.
- Analyze procurement and sourcing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives that align with the business objectives.
- Develop, improve, and monitor supplier performance metrics and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and sourcing strategies to stakeholders.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Procurement activities to include but not limited to PO placement, date management, BO review, weekly and monthly reports and analytics.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, data visualization and/or other procurement software and tools for data analytics and reporting.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Reporting Relationships and Supervision:
- This position will report directly to the Director of Sourcing and Procurement and will not have direct reports.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel or similar software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Preferred experience working in a corporate, or manufacturing, procurement/sourcing environment.
- Preferred familiarity with supplier relationship management and performance evaluation techniques.
- Preferred knowledge of industry trends and best practices in sourcing and procurement.

Pursuant to New York law, Drive medical provides a salary range in job advertisements. The salary range for this role is from $81,500.00 to $92,000.00 annually. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements.
