Sourcing Data Specialist plays a key role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and delivering measurable business value across multiple spend categories. The remainder of the schedule is remote Domestic travel up to 10% Job Responsibilities Facilitate the execution of confidentiality and evaluation agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and contributing to secure, high performing supplier relationships. Ensuring timely supplier onboarding and contract finalization, working closely with internal teams to streamline processes and ensure a secure, uninterrupted supply chain. Lead/collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Science & Technology) with limited guidance to ensure alignment and smooth execution of strategic sourcing initiatives, providing critical support throughout the process. Partner with four or more assigned Category Managers to develop negotiation strategies, compile necessary documentation, and perform intermediate level impact analyses to drive informed decision-making and favorable negotiation outcomes. Progressively monitor and analyze key supplier performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and opportunities to enhance sourcing effectiveness, improve supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement. Manage and foster supplier relationships, working closely with internal stakeholders to address issues, optimize performance, and contribute to long-term, value driven partnerships. Manage a project or small internal stakeholder team from initiation to closure with limited oversight. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, life science. 2-4 years of experience developing sourcing or procurement discipline expertise. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of Proficiency experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including: Excel for data analysis, impact assessments, and development of business proposals that support data-driven decision making. Word for contract review, redlining, and document management. Outlook for effective email communication and workflow management. Demonstrated experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data in a manner that provides actionable insights related to supplier performance, market trends, and negotiation outcomes. Intermediate experience identifying and resolving supply chain disruptions, assessing risks, and implementing contingency plans to ensure business continuity. Intermediate proficiency in business case development, financial modeling, and quantitative analysis to support sourcing and procurement decisions. Demonstrated experience utilizing enterprise systems and procurement technologies, such as ERP platforms, sourcing tools, contract management systems, and supplier management solutions (e.g., iCert or similar tools). Additional Job Standards Ability to exercise sound judgment in determining when to escalate supplier-related issues, including supplier communications, onboarding activities, supplier assessments, and supply monitoring across a complex enterprise environment. Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of performance, professionalism, accountability, and ethical standards. Experience collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones and effectively building relationships with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience leveraging data analytics, supplier intelligence, and technology platforms to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier performance, and support enterprise-wide procurement objectives. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing supplier relationships and mitigating supply chain risk.
