Sourcing Manager

We are supporting the recruitment of a Sourcing Manager for an international manufacturing company with a production facility in Ramnicu Valcea and an international supplier network.

This is a dedicated Sourcing role, focused on the initial stages of the sourcing process — identifying, evaluating and qualifying suppliers, managing RFQs and supporting supplier selection for new projects and production requirements.

The position offers a remote working model, with the opportunity to work closely with an international manufacturing organization and its global supplier network. Occasional travel to the production site in Ramnicu Valcea and to suppliers is required.

Your responsibilities

• Identify and develop potential new suppliers for industrial components and manufacturing projects;
• Assess supplier technical capabilities, production capacity, lead times and readiness to support new projects and volumes;
• Lead the RFQ process, including quotation analysis, cost breakdowns and supplier comparisons;
• Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on technical, commercial, quality and delivery criteria;
• Negotiate commercial conditions with suppliers during the sourcing process;
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, localization, benchmarking and supplier development;
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams on technical sourcing and supplier qualification;
• Support new product introduction and industrialization projects through early supplier involvement and capacity validation;
• Identify potential supply risks and contribute to mitigation plans;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in Sourcing / Strategic Sourcing within a manufacturing environment;
• Strong experience in supplier identification, qualification, RFQs, supplier evaluation and negotiations;
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers and supplier capabilities;
• Experience with industrial products such as machined components, forgings, castings or similar commodities is highly valued;
• Strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills;
• Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality and other internal stakeholders;
• Fluent English;
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
