The procurement organisation in bp aspires to be a world-class business centric Procurement organization, working to support delivery of BP business and functional strategies with efficiency, effectiveness and great collaborator experience. Procurement is shifting to be more aligned to the delivery of BP’s transformation agenda and key business drivers in the short, medium and long term. The Procurement sourcing team is part of the S2C sourcing pillar and drives the way in which BP approaches the market to source third party supply, balancing efficiency and value drivers in line with category strategy. In this role You will: Provide direction and oversight for sourcing strategies within the Digital & Talent Category, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk management frameworks. Support and guide the team on the major deals and help them drive value delivery. Drive an agile and innovative approach to supply market engagement Lead negotiator on high value & complexity negotiations. Applies advanced negotiation techniques to consistently secure high-value outcomes. Resolves stalled negotiations and adapts strategies based on situational needs to improve supplier value. Ability to collaborate and build relationship with partners like VP’s levels for major projects/engagements and deliver value. Act as a point of contact for key business partners, ensuring sourcing priorities are aligned with business needs and delivering significant value and risk mitigation Driving sourcing excellence through deploying standard processes, providing a consistent experience, utilization of strong market intelligence and running world class bids that deliver significant value for the business and where applicable enables the business to buy quickly, easily & where it makes sense, independently Ensure full compliance with Category Management Policy, S2C procurement controls, regional governance, contract templates, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) requirements. Supervise and report on team performance using key metrics, including value delivery, cycle time, and stakeholder satisfaction. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcing professionals. Foster a high-performance culture focused on capability building, career development, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain a psychologically safe team environment where individuals feel respected, heard, and empowered to speak up, share ideas, and challenge constructively without fear of negative consequences. What You will need to be successful: Bachelor’s degree in any subject area or higher Demonstrated experience in global procurement, strategic sourcing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Proven experience in managing Talent (Corporate Services, People& Culture, Workforce, Mobility, etc) Categories. Proven track record of leading high-performing, multi-cultural global teams and delivering complex sourcing strategies Proven experience with Strategic Sourcing, Complex Contract & Commercial negotiations and strong contract drafting skills. Strong commercial savvy, negotiation expertise, and supplier relationship management skills. Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-cultural teams.
