Sourcing Specialist

MID Construction Group is looking for a hands-on China-to-USA Sourcing Specialist to help us source construction products directly from reliable manufacturers in China for our U.S. construction projects.

We’re looking for someone who has actual experience sourcing from China for U.S. businesses — not just someone familiar with Alibaba.

What You’ll Do

• Find and qualify reliable Chinese manufacturers and factories.
• Source construction products through Alibaba, 1688, Made-in-China, Global Sources, WeChat, and other channels.
• Request and compare supplier quotes, samples, specifications, and certifications.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms, lead times, and warranty.
• Calculate true landed costs, including shipping, duties, customs, and domestic delivery.
• Research U.S. market pricing and identify potential savings.
• Coordinate samples, quality control, production, shipping, and delivery.
• Build long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and maintain backup vendors.
• Work with BOQs, material schedules, and project requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years of hands-on China sourcing/procurement experience preferred.
• Experience sourcing products for U.S. companies, contractors, distributors, or importers.
• Strong supplier negotiation and qualification skills.
• Experience with international shipping, Incoterms, MOQ, and landed-cost calculations.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and analytical skills.
• Excellent English communication.
• Construction or building-material sourcing experience is a strong plus.

Preferred product experience: Plumbing, faucets, sinks, lighting, cabinets, flooring, tile, doors, hardware, bathroom/kitchen products, appliances, FF&E, and other building materials.

We are looking for an operator who can independently find the right factory, negotiate pricing, verify suppliers, evaluate products, and determine whether importing from China actually makes financial sense for a U.S. project.
