The Sourcing Specialist at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for Jabil's operations. This role focuses on optimizing the supply base, negotiating favorable terms, and mitigating supply chain risks.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and services, aligning with overall business objectives.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyze market trends, and assess supplier capabilities.
Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Information (RFI) processes, including bid analysis and supplier selection.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for Jabil.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.
Monitor supplier performance against established metrics (cost, quality, delivery, service) and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and logistical factors.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and legal teams to ensure sourcing initiatives meet internal stakeholder requirements.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and demand management.
Ensure compliance with Jabil's procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant regulations.
Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and sourcing activities.
