What Will You Be Doing? The Specialist, Learning & Development is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering high-quality, impactful training programs and materials for the Company. As part of their responsibilities, this role will host our new hire orientation program, onboarding course, and work diligently to keep the content fresh and engaging. They’ll also help manage the HR training activities throughout the organization with a specific focus on developing and implementing training that supports a strong customer service culture aligned with the company’s mission and core values. **The work schedule for this role is designated as hybrid, and will be in-office up to 4 days a week** Essential Functions Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver high-quality learning experiences that support organizational objectives and training standards through instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and multimedia-based learning solutions. Coordinate and deliver the new hire orientation experience to ensure content remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational objectives. Facilitate orientation sessions for all new employees and partner with subject matter experts for various orientation topics. Be a champion for the company’s customer service culture, identifying opportunities to strengthen the culture and customer service orientation of employees and contractors through targeted training initiatives. Act as a centralized point of contact for questions related to HR/employee learning and development resources. Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) for the company to monitor compliance and organizational hierarchy. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and the Manager of Learning & Development to evaluate organizational training needs and develop or source learning solutions that effectively address identified skill and knowledge gaps. Other Functions Manage special projects and committees as needed. Act as a liaison for training to ensure standardization and consistency within the company. Serve as an internal training consultant for company. Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required Previous human resources experience strongly preferred, with a focus on learning & development Experience in training content creation strongly preferred Previous experience with Learning Management Systems strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Competent in interpersonal communications, collaboration, critical-thinking and problem solving Moderate to advanced computer application “user” skills such as database, spreadsheet applications and PowerPoint presentations Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills Proven ability in the development and implementation of training solutions Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects and priorities Ability to demonstrate strong instructional and facilitation skills Proven ability to communicate clearly with persons in all levels of the organization (written and verbal) regardless of the message Self-directed and independent work habits Equipment Operated Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printer LCD, visual/audio training equipment Work Environment Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled Standard office hours, but may require occasional early mornings or weekend work May require some overnight travel <20% Physical Effort Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
