The Opportunity This is a remote, one-year contract opportunity supporting Dentalcorp's Practice Application Systems team. The successful candidate will provide knowledge transfer support prior to the leave period and contribute to the ongoing support, optimization, and troubleshooting of dental practice management systems across the organization. Who You Are You are a highly technical dental software professional with expertise in Practice Management Systems, dental workflows, integrations, data management, and troubleshooting complex system issues. You possess hands-on experience working with multiple dental technologies and are comfortable diagnosing application, data, configuration, and workflow issues that impact practice operations. You act as a trusted advisor to practices, vendors, and internal stakeholders by combining deep dental operational knowledge with strong technical problem-solving capabilities. In This Role, You Will Technical Application Support Serve as a subject matter expert for Dental Practice Management Systems and related clinical/business applications. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex PMS issues involving scheduling, treatment planning, charting, billing, insurance workflows, patient communications, reporting, and financial reconciliation. Investigate system performance, data integrity, workflow, and configuration issues and coordinate resolution with vendors, IT teams, and business stakeholders. Perform root cause analysis for recurring application issues and recommend preventative solutions. Manage escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 support incidents related to dental practice applications. PMS Configuration & Optimization Configure and maintain PMS settings, templates, provider profiles, security roles, fee schedules, insurance tables, treatment codes, and operational workflows. Assess practice workflows and recommend system configuration improvements that support standardization and operational excellence. Assist with feature releases, upgrades, testing, validation, and deployment activities. Integrations & Data Management Support integrations between PMS platforms and third-party solutions including: Digital imaging systems Patient communication platforms Online booking systems Revenue cycle/payment solutions Analytics and reporting platforms Investigate integration failures, synchronization issues, and data discrepancies. Support data migration, conversion, validation, and post-go-live stabilization activities. Reporting & Analytics Create and troubleshoot operational and financial reports. Analyze data quality issues impacting reporting accuracy. Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and develop reporting standards. Project Support Participate in PMS implementations, acquisitions, conversions, upgrades, and optimization initiatives. Assist with user acceptance testing and validation activities. Document technical procedures, configurations, and support processs What You’ll Bring 3-5+ years of experience supporting Dental Practice Management Systems within the dental industry. Strong team player with proven relationship building and stakeholder management skills Fluently bilingual in English and French. Experience supporting PMS conversions, implementations, acquisitions, and system optimization initiatives. Strong understanding of dental practice workflows, system integrations, troubleshooting, and data management. Experience working within a multi-location DSO environment.
