We believe diversity drives business success and is the foundation for our growth. We welcome different backgrounds and skills that enrich our community and we promote a place where we can ALL be ourselves. This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.

Konecranes Procurement Controlling enables professional measurement, analysis and reporting for the Procurement Function and Konecranes’ global spend. The team develops processes and practices that strengthen transparency, support decision-making and maintain an effective financial control environment across approximately EUR 2 billion of annual procurement spend across all Business Areas and Group Functions.

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated Procurement Analyst to turn external market signals and internal procurement data into forward-looking insights. The primary ownership of this role is Konecranes’ inflation pressure simulation and the related market intelligence service for strategic decisions, helping the organization understand how cost drivers may affect Konecranes direct and indirect external spend.

You will combine structured analysis with active stakeholder engagement across businesses, regions and purchasing categories. In addition, you will own the governance of supplier payment-term decrease requests and contribute to Procurement Controlling priorities, savings validation, spend reporting and the continued development of Sievo.

This role is a strong fit for someone who is curious about global markets, confident working with complex data and able to translate analysis into clear, actionable messages for procurement and business stakeholders. The location is in Chennai, India. The role is hybrid and involves approximately 15% business travel.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own the global inflation pressure simulation: Lead the outlook prepared for Annual Planning purposes as well as quarterly three-month updates throughout the year, including impact analysis against the original annual forecast, across direct and indirect procurement spend.
  • Deliver procurement market intelligence: Monitor relevant direct and indirect material commodities such as labour, energy, logistics, steel, copper and other cost drivers; use AI-enabled research to scale insight collection across market research, internal experts, external service providers and supplier-facing stakeholders; and translate external market movements into quantified procurement-spend impacts.
  • Maintain the simulation methodology and data model: Extract historical category spend, maintain the category-to-commodity correlation matrix, develop scenarios and ensure assumptions, calculation logic and outcomes are transparent and documented.
  • Analyse, communicate and document results: Use complementary sources such as Purchase Price Variance and PIR analyses to challenge outcomes, explain key drivers and delay effects, and provide concise updates, presentations and decision support to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain reporting and enable users: Own the functional maintenance and content of the inflation Power BI report and related Procurement House documentation and provide practical user guidance and training.
  • Govern supplier payment-term decrease requests: Validate requests through spend and business rationale reviews, apply defined thresholds and approval routes, coordinate execution support where applicable and safeguard alignment with policy, working-capital objectives and cost control.
  • Contribute to Procurement Controlling priorities: Support agreed strategic deliverables, the global savings validation process, harmonised reporting and the standardisation and productisation of recurring analyses and reports.
  • Develop procurement analytics capabilities: Support continuous improvement of Sievo and selected modules as a super user, strengthen data quality and adoption, provide stakeholder training, and further develop standards, guidelines and policies within the responsibility area.
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standard
