Job Description:

• Demonstrates through behavior the organization's mission, vision, values, and service standards.

• Assesses spiritual needs of patients and provides appropriate interventions considering growth development needs and age group.

• Receives referrals from the EPIC EMR work queue and follows up within 24 hours.

• Responds to incoming calls and conducts necessary follow-up on inquiries.

• Processes, documents, and completes referrals within the Epic EMR work queue in accordance with established workflows and departmental standards.

• Develops spiritual care plans for patients by identifying objectives, interventions, and desired outcomes.

• Identifies and shares relevant community resources aligned with the caller’s specific needs and local area.

• Utilizes knowledge of different levels of growth, development, and skills for various ages and demographics of patient care.

• Available for various shifts as scheduled by the Spiritual Care Manager.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, customer relations, and communication skills [Required]

• Ability to articulate the mission of the healthcare organization [Required]

• Bilingual; ability to speak Spanish and/or other (non-English) language fluently [Preferred]

• Demonstrated ability to support people of diverse faith and cultural backgrounds [Required]

Education:

• Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study:

• in theological studies, healthcare, business or related area

Work Experience:

• Congregational pastoral experience [Preferred]

• Experience within the AdventHealth organization [Preferred]

Additional Information:

• Successful completion of a Level 1A unit of CPE from and ACPE, Inc. accredited Center [Required]

• Minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education [Required]

• Two or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) [Required]

• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) [Preferred]

• Ordained Minister (ORDM) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$19.41 - $36.10
