Sponsor Recruitment Volunteer

Overview:

The Sponsor Liaison plays a key role in helping the Spokane County Democrats secure financial and in-kind sponsorships for our upcoming events and ongoing programs. This individual will support outreach efforts to potential sponsors, help develop sponsorship proposals and build relationships with businesses and organizations that align with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential corporate sponsors, foundations, local businesses and individuals.

• Assist in preparing and customizing sponsorship packages and pitch materials.

• Make initial contact with potential sponsors via email, phone, or LinkedIn.

• Maintain a database of sponsor prospects, conversations, and follow-ups.

• Coordinate with communication and events teams to align sponsor benefits with deliverables.

• Support sponsor stewardship by helping with thank-you letters, recognition materials, and post-event follow-ups.

These qualities and skills will be helpful:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable with cold outreach and building relationships.

• Organized and detail oriented.

• Proficient in email, spreadsheets, and/or CRM systems (helpful but not required).

• Passion for the Spokane County Democrats and an eagerness to contribute to its success.

• Previous fundraising, sales, or business development experience is a plus, but not required.
