World Excellence Awards Ltd (WEA) delivers globally respected, research-led awards programmes that recognise outstanding performance across a range of sectors. Operating in the UK and internationally, our portfolio includes the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), Fire & Resilience Excellence Awards (FREAs), Outstanding Loss Prevention Awards (OLPAs), Cyber Outstanding Security Performance Awards (Cyber OSPAs), Security & Safety Entrepreneur Awards (SSEAs), Workplace Violence Reduction Awards (WVRAs) and Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs).

We are seeking a highly organised, confident and relationship-driven Sponsorship & Partnerships Executive to help grow sponsorship income across our awards portfolio, develop strong relationships with sponsors and partners, and support the successful delivery of our awards programmes internationally.

About the Role

The Sponsorship & Partnerships Executive will play an important role in the continued commercial growth of WEA.

A key priority will be developing sponsorship opportunities and generating sponsorship income. This will involve identifying and researching prospective sponsors, developing new relationships, following up opportunities consistently, supporting sponsorship proposals and helping convert prospects into long-term WEA sponsors.

You will also help manage relationships with existing sponsors, supporting organisations, associations, media partners and international partners, ensuring that commitments are delivered professionally and opportunities for renewal and further collaboration are maximised.

As part of a small team, you will also contribute to the smooth running of WEA's awards programmes and events.

This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, is comfortable developing new commercial opportunities and following them through, and has the organisation and attention to detail needed to manage multiple awards programmes and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Sponsorship & Commercial Development

· Help drive sponsorship income across WEA's awards portfolio in the UK and internationally.

· Identify and research prospective sponsors and new commercial opportunities.

· Develop relationships with potential sponsors through professional and appropriately targeted approaches.

· Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and ensure opportunities continue to progress.

· Support the preparation of tailored sponsorship proposals and partnership opportunities.

· Maintain an active sponsorship pipeline, recording prospects, conversations, next actions and outcomes through WEA's Sponsorship Growth System.

· Work with colleagues, Local Partners, associations and other WEA contacts to identify potential sponsors and introductions.

· Help convert sponsorship opportunities into confirmed agreements.

· Identify opportunities to develop existing sponsor relationships through renewals, additional awards programmes and enhanced sponsorship opportunities.

· Provide regular updates on sponsorship activity, pipeline progress, successes, challenges and next actions.

Sponsor & Partner Management

· Build strong, professional relationships with existing sponsors and partners.

· Ensure sponsors receive timely communication and a high-quality experience throughout the awards cycle.

· Coordinate sponsorship benefits and ensure agreed commitments are delivered.

· Liaise with supporting organisations, media partners, associations and international partners.

· Support post-event sponsor reporting, feedback and evaluation.

· Help identify renewal opportunities and begin renewal conversations at the appropriate point in the relationship.

Awards & Event Support

Alongside the principal sponsorship and partnership responsibilities, the role will support the wider WEA team with awards and event delivery as required. This may include:

· Supporting communications with judges and helping prepare judging materials in accordance with WEA's ethics policy.

· Supporting award entry administration, entrant queries and category guidance.

· Contributing to presentations, briefing documents and other event materials.

· Supporting international programme delivery and coordination with overseas partners and associations.

· Maintaining accurate records, timelines and workflows across multiple awards programmes.

· Providing on-site support at events, including sponsor liaison, registration, guest liaison and coordination with venues and suppliers.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Experience in sponsorship, partnerships, business development or another commercially focused relationship role.

· Evidence of developing new opportunities, building commercial relationships and/or generating income.

· Confidence in approaching and communicating with prospective sponsors and senior stakeholders.

· Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships over time.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.

· The persistence and discipline to follow up opportunities consistently.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team.

· Comfortable working with digital tools, spreadsheets and CRM-style systems.

Desirable

· Direct experience of sponsorship sales or sponsorship development.

· Experience in awards, conferences or corporate events.

· Experience managing sponsors after an agreement has been secured.

· Familiarity with the security sector, loss prevention, cyber security, fire and resilience, economic crime or related professional communities.

· Experience working with associations, membership organisations or international partners.

· Willingness to travel to UK events and occasional international programmes.

What We Offer

· Fully remote working.

· The opportunity to play an important role in the commercial growth of an international awards organisation.

· The opportunity to develop relationships with leading organisations and senior professionals across a range of sectors.

· A supportive working environment within a small and committed team.

· Professional development across sponsorship, partnerships, events and international programme delivery.

· The opportunity to contribute to independent, credible, transparent and respected awards programmes that recognise and promote excellence.
